Repsol-Gas Natural LNG, S.L. , STREAM, sells LNG all over the world as an agent for its two parent companies. Repsol’s and Gas Natural’s vast experience in all segments of the LNG chain - from the upstream to the end consumer, including the development and operation of regasification terminals - coupled with their growing LNG supply portfolio have conferred upon STREAM the status of key partner for all companies interested in buying or selling LNG.

In 2008, STREAM sold in excess of 18.3 bcm of LNG in different markets in the Atlantic and Pacific Basins to become the world’s third largest LNG dealer. STREAM’s presence in strategic geographic markets in the Atlantic Basin, such as Spain (the world’s third largest LNG market) and the United States, allows it to optimise its LNG portfolio and take advantage of arbitrage situations in the US and European markets. This market position will be considerably strengthened by the start-up of the new Canaport terminal in Canada, which will supply the premium market in the northeast of the United States.

The expected growth in sales of LNG will enable Stream to become a global LNG operator and expand to other markets around the world. This expansion process will be possible thanks to the marketing of new volumes of LNG in the Asia-Pacific Basin from the Peru LNG project. The company will also consolidate its position in the Atlantic Basin by penetrating new markets in Europe and the United States.
